Hand-lettered logo design for a poultry machinery supplier
Better Chicken Houses is a company that sells heavy machinery and equipment to poultry farmers in the US. They reached out to me about a new logo for their company and expressed interest in the logo being in a heavy script style because of the nature of their business.
The name of the business is somewhat long and all of the words in the name are important so none of it should read like a tagline. The target demographic for their business is mostly male so the script shouldn’t be feminine or delicate.
Logo Design Process
The biggest challenge with this logo was to keep all the words dominant and avoid anything that could make part of the name read as a tagline. I explored a few different directions and trying to break out the words so the logo is balanced but reads well. I used these as a starting point for the next step.
Digitising & Refining
After digitizing the samples and consulting with the client we agreed that the strongest one is the bold all script version. None of the words seem like they are a part of the tagline and it fits exactly with their vision for the company.
Final Logo Design
Ivana was a pleasure to work with in every way. She’s talented, professional and very responsive. She offers a great value for her level of work, and she delivered the concepts exactly when she said she would. We’ll definitely keep her in mind for custom lettering and logotype projects in the future. Highly recommend — we’d give her more stars if we could!
